Created for the "6th Annual San Jose Day" group art show at Empire Seven Studio.
I’ve always been one to save movie tickets, concert tickets, bus and light rail tickets, just for the memories. So when digging around for inspiration for my San Jose Day piece, I found this Depeche Mode ticket from 2005, my friend and I went for my birthday. Anyway it brought back lots of memories from going out and about downtown in my early twenties. Our favorite spot was the Blank Club on Thursdays for 80’s night ✨💃🏽I wanted to highlight the excitement, vibrant lights and landmarks I would see on my journey downtown. At the height of these days I lived on the Southside, so coming down the 87 first thing you see is the light rail and big yellow duck from the Discovery Museum. So I had to include those on this piece. Anyway hope you enjoy! 💕✌🏽
