My name is Valentina, and I have been creating art since childhood for fun. In 2007 I finally realized how much I loved it and wanted to hone in my skills to see if there was room for me to grow. My skills are self taught with the exception of taking a drawing class and an oil painting class in community college. I started out in watercolor and acrylics, then moved to oil painting and experimenting with aerosol paint. Today I consider myself a mixed media artist, I use most painting mediums and collage to create fun vibrant works on canvas, paper, wood panels, jewelry components and walls. My work has the recurring theme of women portraits and nature. Painting a different woman, each time from imagination to celebrate both the femine and masculine sides of womanhood, and I use nature as a representation of mother earth and her ability to grow in any situation or atmosphere.
